Principles of Community Organizing Workshop

Patrick Sweeney
Patrick has been organizing on natural resource and agricultural issues since 1972. He is the Regional Director of WORC and is a former Staff Director of the Northern Plains Resource Council. Pat is the Chair of the Biodiversity Project Strategy Team and is President of the board of the Environmental Support Center.

Teresa Erickson
With more than 20 years of experience as a community organizer and grassroots fundraiser, she has been the Staff Director of the Northern Plains Resource Council since 1986. She is a former Staff Director for the Western Colorado Congress.

Kevin Williams
Community organizing has been Kevin's vocation and avocation since 1984. He serves as WORC's Director of Organizing which entails coordinating a multi-faceted training program for members and staff, and the delivery of capacity building assistance to WORC's member groups in seven western states. Kevin lives in Montrose, Colorado.

John Smillie
Community organizer and researcher with the Northern Plains Resource Council and WORC since 1979. He has been the principal researcher and writer for a number of WORC publications.
