Corporate Responsibility

Corporate Workshops

Large corporations are getting more and more powerful, and less and less accountable. Learn what you can do about it.

The growing power of corporations affects the quality of the air we breath, the water we drink, and the communities we live in. Corporate decisions increasingly determine whether or not we have good jobs at fair wages, fair markets for the crops and livestock we raise, or an equal voice in the choice of our elected representatives. As citizens, we need to know more about the problems of growing corporate power and about possible solutions if we want a fair economy, a strong democracy and safe communities.

If you’re concerned about the future and you want to do something about it, you’ll want to participate in our corporate power and accountability workshops. It’s not a lecture series. It’s active learning and discussions about problems, solutions and actions.

Here’s what we’ll cover:

  • Learn effective ways citizens are holding corporations accountable in their communities
  • Examine the relationship between corporate power and the quality of the environment
  • Explore corporate power and its impact on the economy
  • Find out whether rising corporate profits mean more jobs and better wages
  • Consider whether society’s economic priorities are in order
  • Evaluate the costs and benefits of corporate welfare
  • Discover how corporations gained the same rights as citizens and how they want even more rights

Call WORC at: 406-252-9672 or E-Mail WORC or your local Member Group today to find out when a workshop will be held in your area.
