A new report released today by the Public Lands Committee of Western
Colorado Congress (WCC) details the condition of Colorado's forests
and recommends how to manage them for long-term health. The release
took place during an event with nationally-renown photographer and

for State Money
to Fight Forest Service3/4/03
Today, eight community organizations located on the West Slope of
Colorado revealed that the Colorado State Parks Division is considering
awarding a grant of $63,000 to the Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle
Coalition (COHVCO) to create the "People's Choice Travel Plan"
for the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forest (GMUG).

Coloradans Strongly Support
Renewable Energy 82% Prefer Renewables2/17/03
According to a study released today, Coloradans want to see their
utilities generate more of their electricity using renewable energy
sources, specifically wind and solar power. An overwhelming 82%
would like to see renewables as the focus for generating new power.

on Biopharmaceutical Applications in Colorado 5/8/03
Farm organizations and other concerned groups in Colorado have called
on Gov. Bill Owens to declare an immediate moratorium on the introduction
of biopharmaceutical crops (conventional food crops spliced with
pharmaceutical producing substances, such as hormones and proteins)
into the state until a public process is established to evaluate
their risks and they are proven safe.
