As part of the Solarize South Dakota campaign, Dakota Rural Action members hosted the first annual Tour del SOL last month, a statewide bike ride event to promote alternative energy and alternative transportation.
Nearly 200 people across the state participated in organized bike rides on August 28 in Brookings, Sioux Falls, Vermillion, Rosebud, Rapid City, Madison, and Spearfish.
DRA’s Solarize SD campaign aims to help South Dakotans better understand their energy consumption, hedge against rapidly rising energy costs, and provide people with the knowledge they need to invest in solar energy for their own homes and businesses.
