In 2020, WORC initiated the Nebraska Organizing Project. NOP’s vision is to build a network of local chapters in rural Nebraska that provide a space for all people who join us to feel at home and valued, regardless of their background, culture, age, or income levels.
People living in rural communities often feel left behind, ignored, written off, and not in control of their own future. We believe in rural Nebraskans. We believe that common interests and concerns can create common ground and that together they can shape their communities for the betterment of all. We believe that they can build a rural Nebraska that everybody’s kids want to come home to.
